Full Description
Residence Astoria benefits from its location and also nearby facilities. It is a new exclusive luxury chalet development by MGM, of superb quality, right in the heart of Chamonix but tucked away so quiet and peaceful, however, just a minutes walk away there is a free bus stop to take you to all the ski areas as well the abundance of eating and drinking venues in the centre of Chamonix (Le Monchu Savoyarde restaurant just 1 minute walk away does possibly the best fondue and raclette in town!) . It is ideally positioned for the ski lifts too - only 5 minutes walk to the Aiguille du Midi, Les Planards, Savoy ski lifts and also to the Maison de la Montagne - the main ski school in Chamonix . The railway station is about 2 minutes walk on foot. Built in local Savoyard stone and wood, this residence offers the most fabulous views of Mont Blanc. Despite its central location Astoria is set in its own grounds and therefore enjoys peaceful surroundings. It comprises of 7 apartments and in the basement a secure ski locker per apartment. Parking can be arranged.
AstoriaB is an extremely light and spacious luxurious apartment on the third floor of the residence with fabulous views of the Mont Blanc Aiguilles du Midi. Newly built in 2011 by the developer MGM, it has been furnished to an extremely high level with a modern contemporary style and feel. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full-size oven, microwave oven, four-ring halogen hob, extractor fan, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and washer-dryer plus plenty of cupboard storage. The huge lounge has 2 large comfortable sofas, a poof, a corner tub chair plus a large luxurious rug. There is also a dining table with ample seating around it for up to 8 people. It boasts a 40 inch flat screen TV and DVD player plus a iPod docking station. Sliding patio doors take you out onto an amazing balcony which has fabulous views of the Mont Blanc and the Chamonix valley - you can watch the ambience of the bustling town just below you. Bedroom 1 has twin beds that can be pushed together to form a double, a built in wardrobe, bed side tables with side lamps, hooks plus a flat screen TV. It also boasts a superb balcony with views of Brevent and Flegere. This bedroom has a luxury Italian style en-suite shower room with a shower, basin, mirror and storage. Bedroom 2 has twin beds that can be pushed together to form a double, a pont-du-lit wardrobe with side lamps, hooks plus a superb balcony with views of the Mont Blanc Massif. Bedroom 3 is a quadruple room with a full size set of bunk beds, a single bed and a full size pull out single bed from underneath the bunk beds - this room is ideal for children or group of friends. There is a luxury family bathroom with a bath with shower over it, full size basin, plenty of cupboards and a heated towel rack. There is also a separate W/C. The hall has an additional cupboard for extra storage. The apartment also comes with a free wireless ADSL internet connection. This gorgeous chalet is a fabulous and luxurious base for families, couples or group friends wanting to enjoy all that Chamonix has to offer.
