Full Description
Situated in a historic building in Les Pelerins - 8 minute walk from Chamonix centre, this amazing building was constructed for the 1924 Olympics and was the original telepherique for Aiguille du Midi. It has exceptional views of Les Bossons glacier and Le Mont Blanc Massif and boasts all the charm of Chamonix. It is managed by a local Chamoniard Monsieur Robert, a photographer for nearly 20 years (you will see his work in the chalet). The Glacier building has been newly renovated to an extremely high standard and has views to die for. There is ample parking around the back, but if you prefer not to drive there is bus stop just 10 meters away. There is a private ski locker area as well.
GlaciersB is a large apartment on the top floor of the building. It is fully equipped with all mod cons and ideal for a group of 6 - extremely spacious (60 sqm). The kitchen is fully equipped with a halogen hob, extractor fan, fridge-freezer, a separate conventional and microwave oven, dishwasher and plenty of cupboard storage. The lounge has a comfortable sofa bed and ample seating around a wooden dining table. There is a flat screen TV and DVD player. Upstairs on the mezzanine is a double bed, 2 single beds and 2 more people can sleep on the downstairs sofa bed. The bathroom has a shower, basin and WC plus a washing machine in the bathroom. The apartment also comes with a free wireless ADSL internet connection. GlaciersA is part of the same building making larger groups possible.
